The last few days have been busy for the University of Manitoba Bisons men’s basketball team.

Even though they’re struggled during Friday’s playoffs, the Bisons’ focus paid off. The team outscored the University of Fraser Valley Cascades 77-72 and are now heading to final four of the Canada West conference finals.

However, the good news didn’t stop there. This morning the team signed two top local players for the upcoming season. James Wagner, from John Taylor Collegiate, and Cameron O’Hara, from St. Paul’s High School.

Bisons coach Kirby Schepp said he’s excited for the team’s future and spoke to the incredible value of having local players on his team.
